3rd Organii Eco Market

3rd Organii Eco Market

Hi everyone! We have been at 3rd edition of Organii Eco Market, last weekend, 27th and 28th October. This event was created in order to promote a more sustainable and healthy lifestyle and this year changed location from LX Factory to Armazém 16, Marvila with participation of more than one hundred Bio and Eco portuguese brands.

The main goals of this market, for Cátia and Rita Curica, their promoters, is to share what better are being made in Portugal in terms of ecological, biological and healthy, as well to foster change in behaviours and a more conscious consumption, giving opportunity for visitors to get to know the impact on the environment of products they are buying. It offers alternatives for vegetarians, vegans or people that are trying to reduce meat consumption.

With change of place, for a much bigger warehouse, all the event spaces were more spread out, but almost all showcookings, talks and children workshops were crowded. And we could see that entire families took the day to spent and enjoy all the things that the market offered.

Although we have participated in all past editions of the major eco and bio market in Portugal, this year was quiet different cause we share the stand with Musgo, a brand whom we are working on a partnership.

Musgo is a design brand speciallized in lights made of recycled wood from old houses that were rebuilt. All wood they use come from doors, windows, floors and others. This partnership makes sense for us, because both use waste materials, in this way saving planet resources by not creating new materials.

We take advantage from the market to show our new lamp prototype which we are working on together and feedback was very good. It was a shame we didn’t have yet the product ready for sell but will be available very soon!

The biggest difference we felt from the past years, was that LX Factory is a touristic point and show up a lot in Lisbon guides so it came much more tourists. This year the public was more local (I think was one of the goals for the organization) but admission was very good, with 16.000 visitors in two days, and for promotion was a great experience.
